The Double Positive Series

In the Double Positive series, I use a geometric chevron pattern to present two images simultaneously in a single composition—shifting, visually, between positive and negative space. The geometric structure opens space for the interplay of gestural brushwork and fluid, poured paint, creating a deliberate, unresolved tension. The work explores the practice of holding two truths together, in perpetual conflict. This ongoing state of reconciliation is as fascinating to me as it is common to the human experience and central to these paintings.
